Agency Progress Reports

This section includes annual progress reports from the National Oceanic Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) and other federal agencies on the status of efforts under Executive Order 13158.

MPAs: Status of Activities under Executive Order 13158
Executive Order 13158 on Marine Protected Areas includes a number of directives for federal agencies, including the preparation of annual reports describing the actions taken by federal agencies over the previous year to implement the Order. This requirement is in Section 6 of the Order, which states:

“Sec. 6. Accountability. Each Federal agency that is required to take actions under this order shall prepare and make public annually a concise description of actions taken by it in the previous year to implement the order, including a description of written comments by any person or organization stating that the agency has not complied with this order and a response to such comments by the agency.”

As required by Section 6 and Section 4(d) of the Order, the annual reports from federal agencies will be publicly accessible on this page as they are produced.
